Sonia Hocking - Director & Executive Chef
Gourmet Guru is the passion of experienced Melbourne chef and mother of two, Sonia Hocking.
Sonia has worked in the hospitality industry for over 25 years.
She successfully completed her Cookery Apprenticeship in Five Star establishments. She has since enjoyed working in many facets of her trade including corporate cafes, restaurants, fine dining and aged care.
Sonia believes the meals and flavours are only as good as the quality ingredients and time put in to creating them.
Gourmet Guru Home Cooked meals are created in Sonia's home kitchen in Donvale.
Gourmet Guru can also provide custom catering with years of experience as a caterer from Afternoon Teas, Grazing Tables, Buffets, Cocktail Functions.
Her kitchen is registered with the Manningham Council and has received a Five Star Food Safety Award for the past two years which Sonia is extremely proud of.
Sonia's dream is to provide a quality gourmet food service to Donvale, Doncaster East, Mitcham and surrounding suburbs.

Completing her cookery apprenticeship at The Grand Hyatt in Melbourne, Kate has enjoyed a wonderful career working in corporate and events at Peter Rowland Catering. We're thrilled to have her extensive knowledge and passion for her craft.
